The all-new sixth-generation Nissan MICRA will be returning later this year as a fully connected electric vehicle. This new MICRA will demonstrate an assertive personality and zero-emission mobility, while retaining the stylish and unpretentious qualities that have endeared it to consumers for over 40 years.

The launch of the MICRA is a crucial part of Nissan’s strategy to introduce four new fully electric models in Europe by 2027. Alongside the MICRA, future models will encompass the Nissan LEAF, Nissan JUKE, and a new A-segment vehicle, bolstered by an upgraded third generation of Nissan’s e-Power technology in the popular Qashqai.

Bold Design Features

Designed at Nissan’s Design Europe in London, the new MICRA boasts a distinctive SUV-like silhouette, featuring pronounced wheel arches and a sturdy stance. All trims will include 18-inch wheels in three designs: “active,” “Iconic,” and “Sport.”

The headlamps, which slightly protrude, greet the driver with a choreographed “welcome wink” when unlocking. A signature “ice cream scoop” detail extends from the front to the rear door.

Available in 14 colour combinations, including Pure White and Rebel Red, the MICRA caters to a variety of tastes, offering options for two-tone colour schemes with black or grey roofs.

We’ve celebrated the values that have made the MICRA popular, while introducing it as an EV with a playful and solid presence on the road,” said Giovanny Arroba, Vice President of Nissan Design Europe.

Interior Elegance
The new MICRA’s interior embodies simple, understated elegance, a hallmark of all its previous generations. It subtly reflects its Japanese heritage with features such as a moulded outline of Mount Fuji in the storage space between the front seats.

Motorists will appreciate the three-spoke steering wheel and a 10.1-inch high-resolution display for easy access to essential information. A second 10.1-inch touchscreen, extending across the dashboard and slightly tilted towards the driver, enhances navigation, audio, and phone functions.

Customers can select from three upholstery trims—Modern, Audacious, and Chill—accompanied by adjustable ambient lighting in 48 colours to create the desired mood. “Life on board has been designed to reflect customer preferences with various colours and finishes,” explained Giovanny Arroba.

Compact and Convenient
Measuring under 4 metres in length and less than 1.8 metres in width, the new MICRA is perfect for urban settings, featuring a 2.54-metre wheelbase that enhances interior space and stability. Offered exclusively as a five-door model, it ensures easy access for all occupants. The front passenger benefits from spacious, supportive seating with ample legroom.

With a trunk capacity of 326 litres and 40/60 split-folding rear seats that expand this to 1,106 litres, the MICRA excels in functional storage compared to its competitors.

Seamless EV Driving
Now available as a fully electric model, the new MICRA provides worry-free driving with two battery options—40 kWh and 52 kWh—offering an impressive range of up to 253 miles, ideal for daily urban use.
