Subaru UK is proud to sponsor Mission Motorsport at the Race for Remembrance (RoR) this weekend, supporting a team of veterans with service-related injuries. This team will race a rebuilt Subaru BRZ sports car, adapted for hand controls.

Mission Motorsport, with the motto “Race, Retrain, Recover,” helps veterans affected by military service by using motorsport as a means of rehabilitation. The charity collaborates with the Royal Foundation, the Ministry of Defence, and the SMMT to run the Mission Automotive initiative, which helps veterans transition to careers in the automotive industry.

Subaru UK has not only sponsored Class C but has also been instrumental in transforming the BRZ coupe, allowing veterans to demonstrate their skills and resilience on the track.

James Cameron, CEO of Mission Motorsport, added, “This adaptive race car represents resilience and adaptability within our armed forces community. Our mission is to empower veterans through motorsport, and we can’t wait to see it on track.”

As part of its commitment to inclusion, Subaru has equipped the BRZ with new components tailored for endurance racing, symbolizing the brand’s dedication to breaking down barriers for veterans with disabilities.
