At MWC Barcelona 2026, HARMAN, a leader in automotive technology and a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, unveiled Ready Ride—an innovative, rugged connectivity platform engineered specifically for two-wheelers. With connectivity transforming vehicle safety and user experience, Ready Ride aims to bring motorcycles into the digital era, reducing time-to-market for manufacturers and lowering ownership costs for riders.
Less than 5% of motorcycles globally currently feature telematics, leaving many riders reliant on vulnerable smartphones for navigation and safety. Ready Ride bridges this gap with a purpose-built, embedded platform that combines a scalable telematics control unit, intelligent software, cellular connectivity, and a robust OEM backend. Key features include over-the-air updates, remote diagnostics, theft alerts, and stolen vehicle tracking—capabilities designed to keep riders safe, informed, and connected.
Durability is at the heart of Ready Ride. The unit is IP69-certified to withstand dust, water, shock, and vibrations common in motorcycle use, ensuring reliability on the road and in harsh conditions. HARMAN’s expertise—drawn from powering over 20 million connected vehicles across 120 countries—means Ready Ride is both future-proof and ready for global deployment.
The platform leverages Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis SoC, enabling latency-sensitive applications and seamless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Dual Bluetooth support ensures riders enjoy a familiar, smartphone-like experience, while advanced safety features like crash detection, eCall readiness, and ARAS hazard alerts elevate on-road protection.
“Ready Ride brings our leading connectivity expertise to two-wheelers, making robust, safe, and connected riding accessible worldwide,” said Shahriar Ravari, HARMAN’s Ready Ride Business Lead.
