Cork-based charging company Ohme has been chosen as the preferred EV charging partner for Energia Group. This partnership aims to encourage more drivers in Ireland to switch to electric vehicles.

“We are excited to partner with Ohme as our preferred home EV charger supplier,” said Ciara Hayes from Energia Group. “Ohme’s award-winning chargers and excellent customer service made them the obvious choice.”

Energia Group, which supplies around 17% of Ireland’s electricity, is committed to greener energy through its €3 billion Positive Energy investment program.

“Our partnership with Energia Group highlights Ohme’s growth as a leading smart charging company,” said CEO David Watson. “With over 800,000 customers, we can offer low-cost charging solutions to more EV drivers.”

Ohme’s smart chargers work with all Energia Group’s tariffs, optimizing charging for off-peak rates like Energia’s Smart Drive and Power NI’s EV Nightshift tariffs.

Ohme is the official EV charger provider for major brands such as Mercedes-Benz and Volvo and was recognized as the Best Chargepoint Manufacturer at the 2024 Irish EV Awards.
