Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has revealed the Spectre Semaphore, a unique custom car that will be showcased for the first time at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on August 16, as part of the 2024 Monterey Car Week in California. This special version of the Rolls-Royce Spectre reflects the new luxury styles embraced by the brand’s confident and youthful clientele.
The exterior of the car is finished in a unique color called Bespoke Semaphore Yellow, which gives the commission its name. The solid color is enhanced with an original artwork on the bonnet, inspired by the casual elegance of coastal California. This art, named ‘Marbled Paint Spill,’ pays tribute to the Golden State and its diverse environment, from the sunny Southern California to the silver mountain tops in the east. This motif was created by Rolls-Royce craftspeople by using silver lacquer and multiple layers of clearcoat, taking over 160 hours to complete.
The vibrant yellow theme continues inside the car, with a combination of Bespoke Lemon Yellow and Citrine Yellow used on the seats, Starlight doors, and above the instrument panel, blending with the contrasting Grace White and Slate Grey colors with Lemon Yellow stitching. The car’s designers also utilized the digital Bespoke potential offered by the SPIRIT operating system to match the dials to the car’s yellow theme.
The Spectre Semaphore maximizes the contemporary design of the interior suite with a high-polish Bespoke painted wood set that matches the grey material accents. The Cashmere Grey paint is infused with silver mica flakes, creating a lively sparkle under direct light.
This unique Rolls-Royce Spectre Semaphore will be the only one of its kind and will be presented at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, as part of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ presence at Monterey Car Week 2024.
