RADwood is a celebration of 1980s and 1990s cars and culture. It’s a motor show where power suits are as important as horsepower, and hi-tops and hot hatches go hand in hand. The festival will take place at the Chatham Historic Dockyards in Kent on September 7.

The event will feature fabulous cars from the Eighties and Nineties, along with music, fashion, and entertainment from that era. There will be four featured RAD display areas: Star Cars, the RAD to the Future collection, Show N Shine competition entrants, and RAD display cars.

Some of the most exotic automobiles of the RADwood era will be showcased, including a BMW BMW 850 CSi, Ferrari F355, Ferrari F40 LM, Honda NSX, Porsche 959, Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau, and the Lamborghini Countach.

The RAD to the Future area will showcase automotive progress, featuring 1984 classics alongside their 2024 equivalents, including Minis, Golf GTis, Lotus, and the Ford Capri.

Fifty entrants to the Show and Shine will have a dedicated display zone. Judges Joe Ward from White Goods Racing and Faye Young will choose the winner.

Drivers arriving in a period-correct car can park with other RAD cars in a dedicated display area. Attendees are encouraged to dress in Eighties or Nineties attire and there will be an award for the best-dressed guest. Rokit Vintage will sell retro clothing.

Music from the RADwood years will be available at a record fair. In the video game arcade, there will be classic games like Outrun, Sega Rally, and Streetfighter, all set to free play.

General Admission tickets cost £25 per car or £15 for a motorcycle, and include entry to the display area if you’re driving something RAD. For £35, you can enter your car in the Show N Shine, but only 50 slots are available.
