Hyundai Motor UK has announced the pricing and specifications for the All-new INSTER, which is Hyundai’s first small EV for the European market.
The INSTER, Hyundai’s first small SUV EV, is a marvel of innovation designed for urban driving and longer trips. With a range of up to 229 miles and optimized recharge times, including a heat pump and battery heating system, it’s a game-changer in the EV market.
The exterior design of the INSTER showcases a robust yet compact SUV profile, clean surfaces, and strong design elements. It shares its pixel design on the front bumper with the IONIQ family and features a bold skid plate that enhances the front and rear design. The car’s personality comes through with an LED daytime running light signature, pixel-graphic turn signals, tail lamps, and bumpers. Customers can personalize the car’s appearance with LED projection headlamps and a two-tone exterior with a contrasting black roof. Depending on the specification, the vehicle will be offered with either 15-inch or 17-inch alloy wheels.

It comes with a 42kWh battery as standard, and there are also options for a 49kWh long-range battery and a 24kWh long-range battery. Both models are powered by a single motor that delivers 71.1 kW (97 PS) and 84.5 kW (115 PS) in the Long-Range car. Both versions offer 147 Nm of torque.

The INSTER has an 11 kW onboard charger as standard, which allows for faster charging times, a battery heating system, and a high-efficiency heat pump, which help optimize range and charging times. Additionally, it features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing bi-directional charging without needing extra equipment. Using the car’s battery, users can power external devices like laptops, electric bicycles, scooters, and camping equipment.
