Kia Charge, the all-in-one charging service in Europe, now provides its 100,000+ subscribers with access to 800,000 AC and DC charging points in 28 European countries. This represents a 10% increase from Q2 2024 and a 39% increase from Q2 2023.
Customers have already completed over 2.5 million charging sessions using their Kia Charge card or by activating the charging process through the Kia Charge app.
Martin Enthofer, Director of Customer Experience Strategy and Solutions at Kia Europe, emphasized the importance of matching the increasing number of electric vehicles on the road with an expanding network of charging points. He stated, “Kia continues to set the benchmark for making electric driving more accessible, with Kia Charge helping to simplify and enhance every journey.”
Kia Charge offers customers a comprehensive service for charging at home, at work, or on the road, including route planning, authentication, account management, and payment. Additionally, customers can access the more than 4,200 ultra-fast charging stations of the IONITY network. Kia’s partnership with IONITY aims to expand the number of high-power charging stations along European highways to over 17,000 by 2030.
The Kia EV Route Planner, which is supported by Kia Charge, enables the vehicle’s navigation system to automatically detect and add charging stations along the route as waypoints, making all charging points easily accessible.
In addition, Kia Plug & Charge is available, allowing customers to charge their EV simply by plugging in the charging cable without the need for a charging card or app for authentication. For business customers and companies, the Kia Charge Business solution provides central charging management for the EV fleet.

Editorial comment: Kia, like most, if not all, EV Manufacturers, continues to add to its EV Charging infrastructure globally, hoping to achieve ultimate convenience for its Customers. This current action is, of course, very much a step in the right direction.
