Visitors to CarFest, the UK’s most prominent family fundraising festival, will have the opportunity to be the first to see the longer wheelbase variant of the ID Buzz 5-seat in the country and test drive it at the on-site Test Drive Centre.
During the three-day event at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will offer CarFest visitors an exclusive, enhanced Try Before You Buy offer for the ID Buzz 5-seat.
At stand number CF2, the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ stand, the Buzz Stop, was designed by the globally renowned design duo, Craig & Karl. The new Buzz Stop features a bold design, bright colors, and uses different media, drawing inspiration from design features of the ID Buzz.
The new ID Buzz 7-seat will be the highlight at the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ CarFest stand, offering entertainment for everyone, including a live DJ, seating areas, and a children’s coloring wall.
The prices for the ID Buzz 7-seat model start at £59,545 ‘on the road’, with deliveries beginning in 2024.
The ID Buzz 7-seat offers family-friendly flexibility, with five-, six-, and seven-seat configurations available. All rear seats benefit from three-point safety belts and ISOFIX mountings for child seats. The second row of seats slides and reclines for extra comfort, while the third row can be removed entirely from the seven-seat model. The increase in wheelbase allows for the installation of an 86kWh battery, providing a WLTP range of up to 291 miles.
With a length of 4,962mm, the ID Buzz 7-seat features a 250mm increase over the standard model. The larger size increases the sliding rear doors by 192mm, providing more accessible entry and exit for rear-seat passengers.
The 7-seat model provides 306 liters of space behind the third row, increasing to 1,340 liters of luggage space behind the second row, and 2,469 liters when the second and third-row seats are folded, making it perfect for carrying bikes, surfboards, and family equipment. In addition, the Multiflex board adjustable boot floor creates a second loading level and a completely flat load area when the rear seats are folded down.
Similar to the rest of the ID Buzz line-up, the 7-seat model features some technology and specification upgrades. For instance, the latest ‘Discover Pro infotainment system now benefits from a larger 12.9-inch screen with enhanced graphics and a faster, more powerful processor.
