During National Apprenticeship Week this year, Volkswagen Group UK celebrated by visiting the Houses of Parliament to showcase its network skills and launch several new apprenticeship roles at the head office.

On Monday, our National Learning Centre apprenticeship team and seven learners participated in an event organised by the Society of Manufacturers and Traders at the Houses of Parliament. They had the opportunity to showcase their experiences, share their enthusiasm for working in the automotive industry with sector leaders and politicians, and enjoy an unforgettable guided tour of the Houses of Parliament.

Volkswagen Group UK currently has around 1,000 apprentices in training across various programs, including Service Technician, Customer Service, and Paint and Body courses. These learners are employed by one of our 600 retail sites, and their training and development are conducted in blocks both in the network and at the National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.

There’s more to imagine when you listen.

In 2025, Volkswagen Group UK is expanding its opportunities for individuals looking to enter the sector by offering Level 3, 4, and 5 apprenticeships at its head office in Milton Keynes. These roles will focus on data, IT, business, and finance, which are expected to be in high demand among those eager to start and develop a career in the UK’s leading automotive group.

Kate Hardie, Early Careers Manager at Volkswagen Group UK, stated: “Having just been named one of the Best 100 Student Employers at the recent RateMyPlacement Awards, we are excited to build on this success and provide a great experience for apprentices who join Volkswagen Group UK. We have run successful and popular graduate and undergraduate schemes for many years. We look forward to expanding our early career offerings with these new apprenticeships. Our sector has numerous opportunities, and we hope this initiative will attract new and diverse talent, helping us grow our capabilities in these critical skill areas.”
