The #46 is now 46, and BMW M has launched the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 to celebrate the birthday of nine-time motorcycle world champion and current BMW M works driver Valentino Rossi (ITA). This exclusive edition, produced at the BMW Group Plant in Dingolfing, is available in two design variants: Sport and Style, both limited to just 46 units of each car.

Rossi was actively involved in the design process, ensuring that his iconic number is prominently displayed throughout the vehicle, including on the carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof. Buyers will also enjoy a unique experience: an exclusive meeting with Rossi at his VR46 Motor Ranch in Tavullia (ITA) and a BMW M Driving Experience at the Misano race circuit (ITA).

Rossi, a BMW M works driver since 2023, expressed his pride in the collaboration, stating, “No other brand has motorsport so deeply embedded in its DNA as BMW M.” The number 46 has accompanied Rossi throughout his career, making it a trademark even more significant than his nicknames.

After clinching his first world title in the 125cc class in 1997, Rossi emerged as a dominant force in motorcycle racing, securing nine world championships and 115 Grand Prix victories. The VR46 brand has become a global icon, and Tavullia has even altered its speed limit to 46 km/h in his honour.

As part of the purchase of the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46, buyers will enjoy a two-day experience in Italy, commencing with a visit to the VR46 Motor Ranch and concluding with a BMW M Driving Experience at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, where Rossi has celebrated numerous victories.
