Here we have Carwow’s Mat Watson introducing us to the rare Suzuki Jimny 6×4 — a unique transformation of the classic Jimny into a pick-up truck. But is it better than the standard model?
The front design is nearly identical to the original, featuring some spray-painted trim. The most obvious addition is the load bed, crafted from the rear of another Jimny, which blends seamlessly with the vehicle’s overall aesthetic. Roll bars also enhance its presence.
Inside, the design resembles the standard Jimny, now featuring leather trim. Although the finish on some parts could be improved, it still appears smart. However, the load bed restricts access to the boot unless you fold down the rear seats.
Powered by the same 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, the 6×4 produces 101 hp and 130 Nm of torque. It’s 300 kg heavier than the standard Jimny, affecting its 0-60 mph time.
The Jimny 6×4 is now available for £44,995! Would you prefer it to the standard Jimny?
