Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles had a successful outing at the Great British Fleet Awards 2025, winning ‘Medium Van of the Year’ for the all-new Transporter and retaining the title of ‘EV Van of the Year’ for the ID. Buzz Cargo for the third consecutive year.

The awards, judged by a panel of expert editors, celebrate excellence in fleet management and vehicle offerings, with the winners announced at the ceremony in Milton Keynes last night.

The ID. Buzz Cargo has received praise for its iconic design and expanded options, which include the new entry-level 59kWh variant and 4MOTION all-wheel drive versions. John Kendall, Editor at Van Fleet World, noted, “Despite increasing competition in the electric van market, the ID. Buzz Cargo keeps our EV Van of the Year title, thanks to its appealing range and design.”

The Transporter was recognized for its practicality, featuring a 6.8m³ load volume, a 1.2-tonne payload, and a 2.8-tonne towing capacity. Its diverse lineup, including Panel Van, Kombi, and Shuttle variants, was noted for addressing various business needs.

Craig Cavanagh, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ national fleet manager, stated, “We’re thrilled to win two titles at the Great British Fleet Awards and proud to see the positive response to our all-new Transporter.”
