Volkswagen’s second-generation T-Roc goes on sale in the UK on 8 January, starting from £31,620.
The T-Roc is already one of the most popular models in the Volkswagen range. More than two million units have been sold so far globally since its debut in 2017 – making it Volkswagen’s most successful SUV after the Tiguan – and it has an impressive list of awards under its belt.
Available in Life, Style and R-Line trims, the new T-Roc features a distinctive design, high-quality interior, increased space, and advanced assist systems. A full hybrid powertrain will be available in the future.
Expressive exterior
The new T-Roc retains its coupé-like rear and ‘hockey stick’ C pillar while being 12.2 cm longer and slightly taller and wider. New features include 20-inch alloy wheels and bold colours like Canary yellow, Flamed red and Celestial blue.
Standard LED headlights and light-projecting mirror housings come as standard, with optional IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights. The rear features a continuous LED crossbar.
Lounge-like interior
The premium interior features dashboard upholstery with background lighting, a 12.9-inch infotainment screen as standard, and an optional head-up display.
Features from the Tiguan and Tayron include driving experience control, wireless charging, 10-inch Digital Cockpit Pro (Style and above), and massage seats (Style only). The boot offers 475 litres – 30 litres more than before.
New powertrain and high-end features
Two 1.5 eTSI mild hybrid engines (116 PS and 150 PS) are available at launch, with full-hybrid systems coming later. All variants feature front-wheel drive and a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
Built on Volkswagen’s MQB evo platform, the T-Roc shares advanced features with the Tiguan and Tayron. Optional features include Travel Assist with automatic lane changes, Park Assist Pro with smartphone control and 50-metre memory parking, and an exit warning system.
Options and prices
Tailored option packages simplify configuration and offer attractive pricing.
Orders open 8 January at Volkswagen UK Retailers, with prices from £31,620 (Life 1.5 eTSI 116 PS) to £38,920 (R-Line 1.5 eTSI 150 PS).
