All EV4 ‘Air’ and PV5 Passenger ‘Essential’ and ‘Plus’ models now qualify for the UK Government’s Electric Car Grant Band 2, allowing buyers to get £1,500 off the price. Both battery options are included.

Kia’s eligible models feature advanced battery technology, practical design, and a leading 7-year/100,000-mile warranty (or 8 years for the high-voltage battery), providing new EV owners with extra peace of mind.

Paul Philpott, President & CEO of Kia UK, said: “We are delighted that Kia customers can now benefit from the UK Government’s Electric Car Grant. This milestone demonstrates our commitment to making electric mobility accessible, practical, and affordable. With the support of the grant, even more drivers can experience the innovation, reliability, and sustainability that Kia electric vehicles have become known for. This eligibility comes at an important time, as our nationwide network of PBV Centres becomes operational, delivering the new award-winning PV5 to customers”.

The Kia EV4
The Kia EV4 is the latest fully electric vehicle from Kia, following the EV3 crossover-SUV. Thanks to its streamlined design, the EV4 ‘Air’ 81.4kWh can reach up to 388 miles on a single charge, making it the longest-range Kia EV to date. With the 58.3kWh battery, the EV4 ‘Air’ provides up to 273 miles per charge.

The EV4 is also the first Kia electric vehicle made at the company’s Slovakian plant in Europe. It marks Kia’s entry into the electric hatchback market and adds more powertrain options for customers in Europe.

With the Electric Car Grant, the starting price for the Kia EV4 is now £33,245 on the road.

The Kia PV5 Passenger
You can purchase the PV5 Passenger from Kia’s new PBV Centres. It comfortably seats five with a spacious interior. The ‘Essential’ and ‘Plus’ models come well equipped, and you can select between two battery options. The Standard Range battery offers up to 183 miles, whilst the Long Range battery provides up to 256 miles (WLTP combined).

The PV5 Passenger is built on the E-GMP.S platform and comes with standard ADAS safety features. Its low step-in height of 399 mm makes it easier to get into the rear compartment. Every PV5 includes a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty (8 years for the high-voltage battery).

With the Electric Car Grant, the starting price for the Kia PV5 Passenger is now £31,495 on the road.

Kia electric car offers
Kia’s latest quarterly offers provide customers with more ways to save on a new car. The EV4 ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ now include a £3,000 Finance Deposit Contribution, and the ‘Air’ grade receives an extra £1,000 FDC on top of the Electric Car Grant. All EV3 models come with a £3,000 FDC, while other Kia electric vehicles like the EV4 Fastback, EV5, EV6 (and GT), and EV9 (and GT) each receive a £1,500 FDC.

Available today
You can now order both the Kia EV4 and PV5 Passenger with the Electric Car Grant at Kia dealerships and PBV Centres across the UK. The EV4 starts at £34,695, and the PV5 Passenger starts at £32,995 on the road.

The Electric Car Grant
The UK Government’s Electric Car Grant is only available for electric cars that meet strict standards for emissions, range, sustainability, and warranty support. To qualify, brands must have SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) verification, which means they set greenhouse gas reduction targets to help limit global warming and aim for net-zero by 2050.

By 2030, Kia plans to launch 15 EV and 10 HEV models. All factories will use 100% renewable energy by 2040. The company aims for carbon neutrality by 2045 through initiatives like joining RE100, conducting Life Cycle Assessments, and expanding electrification.
