Nissan introduced the all-electric JUKE at its Vision event in Japan, highlighting a significant advance in the company’s European electrification strategy. As Europe’s electric vehicle market expands, Nissan aims to leverage its 15 years of EV experience to address diverse customer demands and operate in a competitive landscape.

The new electric JUKE, described as agile and compact, reimagines one of Europe’s standout compact crossovers for the EV era. It is part of Nissan’s broader plan to provide electrified vehicles for a wide range of customers.

Since its 2010 debut, the JUKE has sold to 1.5 million customers in Europe and helped define the compact crossover segment with its unique design. The all-electric JUKE maintains this character while advancing Nissan’s commitment to zero-emission mobility.

A Flexible Path Toward Full Electrification
The all-electric JUKE expands Nissan’s European EV lineup, which includes the new MICRA, third-generation LEAF, Ariya crossover, and Townstar LCV. The JUKE EV and the LEAF will feature Vehicle-to-Grid technology, integrating EVs with the energy grid.

Nissan also offers e-POWER hybrid technology, delivering an EV-like experience without charging. Hybrid models like the Qashqai e-POWER and JUKE HEV will remain available to meet current customer needs.

Massimiliano Messina, Chairman of Nissan AMIEO, said Europe remains central to Nissan’s electrification plans and the company is committed to a fully electric future. He emphasised that a growing EV lineup will accelerate the transition to zero-emission mobility in the region.

Powering Electrification from Europe
The new all-electric JUKE will be produced at Nissan’s Sunderland Plant in the UK, reinforcing the plant’s role in the company’s global EV strategy. The facility, which already produces the LEAF, will soon begin trial production of the electric JUKE.

Nissan’s regional design, engineering, and development operations in the UK, Spain, and Germany support this commitment, highlighting the company’s long-term investment in Europe as a center for production and innovation.

Clíodhna Lyons, Region Vice President at Nissan AMIEO, said the third-generation JUKE brings the model’s bold design into the electric era and will help Nissan reach new customers while expanding its electrified range.

Unveiled at Nissan Vision Event
The third-generation JUKE debuted at Nissan’s Vision Event in Japan, where the company outlined its long-term strategy and innovation plans. The all-electric JUKE is set to launch in spring 2027.
