MG Motor UK has reached an important milestone by selling its 100,000th electric vehicle on Friday, October 31st.

Originally recognised for making British sports cars, MG marked its 100th anniversary at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The company combines over a century of automotive heritage with a focus on electric vehicles (EVs), offering affordable and enjoyable battery-electric options to customers in the UK.

MG Motor UK has achieved an impressive milestone in its UK market with the sale of its 100,000th electric vehicle. The milestone was reached on Friday, 31st October.

While we have embraced new technologies, especially hybrid and electric vehicles, our brand still captures MG’s adventurous spirit. This includes offering the MG4 EV in a bright Volcano Orange, the powerful XPOWER model with 435 PS, and the unique arrow-shaped rear lights for the flagship Cyberster, which feature a subtle Union Jack design.”

In 2019, MG introduced the first MG ZS EV, a popular SUV priced at £24,995, making it an excellent choice for families purchasing their first electric vehicle. Since then, MG has launched more EVs, including the award-winning MG4 EV hatchback and the business-friendly MG5 EV estate car.

In summer 2023, MG revealed the UK’s first two-seat electric convertible. The Cyberster can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds and features a striking design from the company’s London studio, linking MG to its sporty history while showing that EVs can be exciting to drive.

MG also features daring concept cars such as the MG Cyberster Black and the urban explorer MG Cyber X, highlighting its aim to develop a new generation of fashionable EVs with distinct identities.
