New BMWs’ M3 Competition Saloon And Touring With M xDrive

The BMW M3 Saloon and BMW M3 Touring have been upgraded with a 20 hp power increase for both model variants in the UK, along with new design and equipment offerings. The upgrades include newly designed headlights, steering wheel, forged light-alloy wheels, and the introduction of BMW Operating System 8.5.

The models will be equipped with a six-cylinder in-line engine featuring M TwinPower Turbo technology, producing an output of 530 hp and an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic.

Customer deliveries will begin in the summer of 2024.

Production will begin in July 2024 at the BMW Group Plant in Munich, with a worldwide launch scheduled for this summer.

The BMW M3 Competition Saloon and Touring models now feature the latest BMW iDrive system and BMW Operating System 8.5. They come with a high-resolution BMW Curved Display, upgraded BMW Personal Assistant, and a fully digital screen grouping. The optional BMW Head-Up Display projects driving-relevant information onto the windshield in an M-specific style.

The M-specific graphics and content on the information and control display are now complemented by a new way of operating the standard automatic climate control system. The temperature, ventilation settings, seat heating, and steering wheel heating can now be controlled by touch or voice command. New adjustment controls for the air vent grilles allow the airflow direction to be adjusted using rotating and tilting movements.

The latest cutting-edge digital technology, featuring the BMW Operating System 8.5, has been officially introduced.

The standard ambient lighting now includes contour lighting integrated into the trim around the central seam vents, with nine colors in multiple grades of brightness. The interior lighting also features an atmospheric Welcome and Goodbye Animation, as well as light signals for an open door or incoming phone call.

The interior enhancements feature new trim elements and refined material options specifically designed to elevate both everyday usability and high-speed track performance.

The BMW Live Cockpit Plus includes BMW Maps navigation, two USB ports, Wi-Fi, smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Optional wireless charging for compatible smartphones is available, and both Saloon and Touring models come with a standard HiFi speaker system with 10 speakers and a 205-watt amplifier.

The M Carbon exterior package is tailored to each high-performance car, enhancing their overall look with unique inlays, exterior mirror caps, and a rear spoiler. The M Race Track package includes M Carbon ceramic brakes, M Carbon bucket seats, and Carbon Fibre interior trim, reducing vehicle weight by up to 25 kilograms.

BMW M Performance Parts allow customers to customize their high-performance sports cars with options like exterior components made from CFRP, M Performance forged wheels, floor mats, and steering wheel trim.
