Aston Martin will reignite its enduring and illustrious connection with the formidable Nürburgring Nordschleife this weekend, as the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 makes its debut in the ADAC Ravenol 24H Nürburgring.

The new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 begins its quest to tame three iconic 24-hour races in June: Nürburgring, Le Mans, and Spa.

The British ultra-luxury sports car manufacturer has a successful history at the Nürburgring for over 60 years. Legendary drivers like Tony Brooks, Sir Stirling Moss, and Sir Jack Brabham contributed to three 1000km victories in the late 1950s, helping Aston Martin secure the World Sportscar championship title. In 1959, the Aston Martin DBR1 also won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 92nd edition of the race will take place on 15-16 June in France..

Since returning to sportscar racing in the mid-2000s, Aston Martin has been a regular presence at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, achieving at least 10 class victories and over 25 podium finishes with the Vantage model.

The British ultra-luxury sports car brand Aston Martin is gearing up for major endurance races in June, including the Nürburgring 24 Hours, Le Mans 24 Hours, and the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa. They will be featuring the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3. Aston Martin has partnered with Walkenhorst Motorsport to compete in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, aiming to be the first British manufacturer to win the race outright. Walkenhorst Motorsport will run three Vantage GT3s in different classes – SP9 PRO, PRO-AM, and AM.

Aston Martin debuted at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2006 with a standard V8 Vantage, leading to the successful GT4 version. In 2018, the brand achieved a notable win in the SP9T class, finishing fourth overall with the V12 Vantage GT3. This remains Aston Martin’s best finish at the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

In recent years, the Vantage GT4 has been successful. The previous generation won the SP8T class in 2019 and in 2020, Garage 59 finished third in the same class with an upgraded GT8R.

In 2022, Dörr Motorsport achieved a one-two victory in SP8T on its Aston Martin debut with the Vantage GT4, marking the brand’s most recent class win. The team also secured a third-place finish in SP10, their best result at the Nürburgring, just behind the second-placed PROsport Vantage GT4.
