Bentley Motors has added 15 unique colour options to its bespoke exterior satin paint finish range, providing customers with more opportunities to personalize their cars. The expanded palette offers classic, understated tones as well as bolder, contemporary colours to complement every Bentley model.
Every Bentley with a satin finish undergoes a meticulous painting process that takes up to 55 hours to complete. The finish is carefully applied by Bentley’s skilled craftsmen and women at the Excellence Centre for Bespoke Paint.
Initially, the car arrives in its glossy color and is then meticulously hand-sanded, cleaned, masked, and dusted before a clear lacquer is hand-applied in two stages to achieve a flawless and consistent satin finish.
Each car undergoes thorough inspection and approval by an independent Production Quality Team to ensure that every panel exceeds customer expectations. All satin paints will be applied to Bentley’s cars in its new, state-of-the-art Paint Shop, scheduled for completion in 2025.
Each satin paint finish at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe, England, is developed by experts to reflect Bentley’s commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and durability. The unique satin finish scatters light particles across the car’s surface, accentuating the styling lines in a way that gloss finishes don’t.
In 2023, 75% of Bentley customers chose to add Mulliner content to their cars, setting a record. Bentley expanded its range of satin paint finishes, offering customers more options to personalize their vehicles. Along with exterior and interior choices, the expanded satin paint range allows for individual expression, with the option to specify a bespoke satin color with the help of Mulliner’s in-house design team.
All 15 of Bentley’s satin paint finishes will be available for the entire product range, including the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, Bentayga, Bentayga Extended Wheelbase, and Flying Spur. These satin paint finishes are also options for customers of Bentley’s recently announced Mulliner Bacalar Convertible, the third coachbuilt Bentley of the modern era.
