DENZA, BYD Group’s technology-focused premium automotive brand, has unveiled a bespoke one-off Z9GT at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival in collaboration with Swiss luxury house Chopard. The collaboration embodies DENZA’s principle of ‘Technology Drives Elegance,’ merging the marque’s advanced electric engineering with Chopard’s heritage of luxury craftsmanship. Chopard’ The uniquely crafted DENZA Chopard Z9GT will be donated to the 32nd amfAR Gala Cannes, supporting AIDS research. This contribution transforms the Z9GT into a singular automotive jewel.
BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li described the partnership as a natural extension of DENZA’s recent European debut, highlighting how the collaboration elevates both technology and luxury for a greater philanthropic cause.
Chopard’s Co-President Caroline Scheufele emphasised the transformation of the Z9GT into a ‘moving piece of jewellery,’ underscoring the brand’s focus on emotion and artisanal detail.
The Z9GT’s cabin features Chopard’s signature amethyst stone trims, bringing elements of haute joaillerie into the automotive interior and reinforcing its exclusivity.
Additional bespoke details include Chopard-branded embroidery on upholstery, custom lighting, logo integration in the charging pad, and a unique infotainment system theme.
Complementing the vehicle are two exclusive Chopard timepieces—Happy Sport and Alpine Eagle—crafted in ethical rose gold and personalized for DENZA, symbolizing harmony and duality.
The offering also includes bespoke luggage by Shiro, curated to match the car’s luxury ethos and lifestyle appeal.
High-grade leathers, wood finishes, and a 20-speaker Devialet audio system complete the luxurious, technology-driven interior.
The Z9GT boasts three electric motors, delivering over 1,150 horsepower and acceleration from 0-62mph in under three seconds, with FLASH Charging enabling a full recharge in just nine minutes.
The Z9GT’s unveiling at Cannes, featuring a couture-inspired car cover, captured the collaboration’s fusion of dramatic design, emotion, and performance.
