Affordable, efficient MG ZS Hybrid+ features a 1.5L petrol engine and advanced hybrid tech, offering low emissions of 115g/km, up to 55.4 mpg (WLTP combined), starting at £22,995.

Two additional models from MG Motor UK also received recognition, as the MG HS and MGS6 EV were shortlisted for Best Medium Fleet SUV and Best EV Medium SUV respectively.

The awards highlight vehicles that deliver strong value, performance and practicality for fleet operators and business users, who typically cover higher-than-average annual mileages and depend on their vehicles as essential working tools.

Simon Harris, editor of Fleet World and EV Fleet World and chair of the judging panel, said the ZS Hybrid+ stood out for combining affordability with strong performance. He noted that its advanced powertrain offers both refinement and efficiency, demonstrating that lower-cost SUVs no longer require compromises in driving quality.

Geraint Isaac said the award reflects the effectiveness of the company’s Hybrid+ technology, which has been developed to deliver efficiency, refinement and real-world usability, while reinforcing MG’s customer-focused approach and ongoing investment in electrified powertrains.

The MG ZS Hybrid+ pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 102PS with a 136PS electric motor delivering 250Nm, for a combined output of 196PS. A 1.83kWh battery supports performance and efficiency, enabling 0–62mph in 8.7 seconds, fuel economy of up to 55.4mpg (WLTP combined), and emissions of 115g/km.

Available in SE and Trophy trims, the model is priced from £22,995 and £25,495 respectively. Standard SE equipment includes LED daytime running lights, a 12.3-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, a 7-inch driver display, automatic headlights, keyless entry, and rear parking sensors with a camera. Trophy variants add leather-style upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a 360-degree camera, privacy glass and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The model also features MG Pilot safety systems, including adaptive cruise control, active emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and traffic jam assist.
