Polestar is launching a Long-range Single motor version of the Polestar 3, providing consumers with another option to own its electric SUV designed for the electric age. The starting price is £69,900.
Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, stated, “With the long-range Single motor Polestar 3, we are providing consumers with a new entry-point for our flagship electric SUV. The rear-wheel drive configuration complements our performance-focused driving dynamics, setting the car apart in the luxury SUV market.”
This entry-level Polestar 3 Single Motor, manufactured in China and the USA, is equipped with the same 111 kWh battery pack as the Dual Motor version. It offers the same 250 kW peak charging capability for a 30-minute 10-80% charge on DC. The new Long-range Single motor provides a range of up to 403 miles (WLTP) between charges, making it the most efficient Polestar 3.
The long-range Single motor retains all the features that make the long-range Dual motor versions exciting to drive. It includes a sophisticated passive damper system that utilizes Hydraulic Rebound Stops (HRS) and Frequency-Selective Damping (FSD) for ride comfort and control, simulating the dynamic character found in long-range motor models.
The motor powers the rear axle of the Long-range Single motor Polestar 3 and produces 220 kW and 490 Nm of torque. This new Long-range Single motor Polestar 3 can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 7.8 seconds and uses the same Brembo braking system as the rest of the Polestar 3 range.
As part of the MY25 line-up, the long-range motor Polestar 3 offers more customization with a single option and pack structures. Customers can choose from six exterior colours, five interior trims, and four-wheel options, including the new 21-inch alloy wheel in the new Pro Pack.
In addition, the Pilot Pack with LiDAR from Luminar is an option on the Polestar 3 range Single motor, providing customers with enhanced safety and convenience.
