The BYD SEAL 6 DM-i sedan and its wagon variant, the SEAL 6 DM-i TOURING, have received a top five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, recognising them as effective long-range family cars.

Euro NCAP’s safety tests focus on four areas, with the SEAL 6 DM-i achieving 92% in Adult Occupant Protection and high marks in side tests. It scored 90% in Child Occupant Protection with maximum points in frontal and side tests. Additionally, the models scored 84% and 85% in assessing safety for vulnerable road users and safety assistance features, respectively.

Both adult and child occupant protection receive praise.
Excellent performance in all four sections of the test.

Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD, stated the rating reflects the company’s commitment to safety alongside efficiency, offering buyers vehicles with over 1,500 km of range. The SEAL 6 DM-i’s rating marks BYD’s ninth five-star score since entering the European market in 2022.

Launched in September, the SEAL 6 DM-i features Super Hybrid technology with a 65-mile electric drive and a total range of up to 935 miles. The SEAL 6 DM-i TOURING offers 1,535 liters of luggage space and a total of 839 miles. Both models include advanced BYD technologies like Vehicle-to-Load, NFC smartphone access, and large infotainment screens.
