The new Crafter is launching soon and has undergone a major software and hardware update. The cockpit has been redesigned with the latest infotainment systems, including a Digital Cockpit, multifunction steering wheel, electronic parking brake, and various assist systems. A key option is the digital voice assistant with ChatGPT integration. Pre-sales start in mid-April.
The new Crafter comes with digital instruments and a 10.3-inch infotainment display, upgradeable to 12.9-inch. It has a graphical interface and easy-to-use menu navigation. A new online voice control system, integrated with ChatGPT, controls many vehicle functions. The handbrake, switch for the automatic gearbox, light function controls, buttons in the centre console area, and all vents have been redesigned.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has raised the bar with the new range of assist systems for the Crafter product line. All new models will have standard features like Front Assist, Lane Assist, Dynamic Road Sign Display, speed limiter and acoustic Park Distance Control. Travel Assist is an optional feature, and Emergency Assist is introduced when combined with it.
