Alpine displayed its motorsport heritage and support for the Goodwood Members Meeting by being a lead partner at the event. The brand showcased the track-focused Alpine A110 R Le Mans special edition, which has 0-62 mph acceleration time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 177 mph.
Of the 100 special edition models made, 10 were allocated to the UK, and half of them participated in a unique parade, with BTCC ace Gordon Shedden driving the lead car. Alpine also displayed a show version of its A424_β race car, a phenomenal hybrid powered by a turbocharged 3.4-litre V6 and a single electric motor. It is set to make its debut at the 24-hour event in June, competing in the top LMDH Hypercar category.
Alpine’s electric concept car, A290_β, returned to Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. It combines racing heritage with advanced electric drivetrain. Alpine’s first-ever 100% electric car, the sporty A290, will debut at 24 Hours of Le Mans®. Visitors admired the concept car and several Alpine A110 Berlinettes and latest A110 served as course cars. The stunning 1960s coupe represented Alpine’s 60-year history, alongside the pure-electric A290_β.
