The Renault Megane E-Tech electric now offers enhanced specs and is more affordable than before. The entire range features energy-saving technology, and techno and iconic trim levels come with a 12-inch screen. Adaptive cruise control is now standard on mid and top-range versions. The cost has been reduced by £500 across the range, making it even more attainable and better value.
The Megane E-Tech electric car now comes with a heat pump as a standard feature due to high demand from customers. This system recovers heat from the battery and electric motor twice as efficiently, ensuring the cabin temperature is optimal while minimizing the impact on the vehicle’s range. In colder temperatures, the vehicle’s range can increase by up to 9%, while keeping passengers comfortable inside.
The excess heat generated during heavy load is captured by a circuit of pipes that run through the battery and motor, warming the passenger compartment and increasing the vehicle’s range. Other standard features include automatic wipers and headlamps, automatic climate control, LED daytime running lights, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, and an Arkamys audio system. The Iconic trim level also comes with a Harmon Kardon audio system.
The Megane E-Tech electric car can travel up to 280 miles (WLTP) on a single charge. With the standard 130 kW DC charger, you can recover 186 miles in just 30 minutes. The advanced drivetrain comprises a 60 kWh battery and an electric motor that generates 220 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. The Megane E-Tech 100% electric NOW starts from the lower price of £33,995 OTR.
