The new BMW M4 CS combines racetrack experience with soul-stirring road performance while providing everyday driving comfort with lightweight design elements. It has an increased engine output of 550 hp, model-specific chassis tuning, and a reduction in weight thanks to numerous components made from carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP). Production of the new BMW M4 CS will start in July 2024 at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, with order books opening in late May. The BMW M4 CS is priced from £117,100 RRP, with the first deliveries in the UK arriving in Autumn 2024.

The BMW M4 CS is a unique driving experience that balances the power of the M4 Competition Coupé with M xDrive and the limited-edition BMW M4 CSL. Its distinct character and M-typical engineering make it a standout performer. The racing genes, which offer constant reminders of their presence in everyday driving on the road and enjoy full expression out on the track.

The model-specific performance characteristics of the six-cylinder in-line engine in the BMW M4 CS, an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive infuse the new model with dynamic poise and assurance. Instantaneous power delivery and optimised traction enable acceleration of 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds. In testing at the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife circuit – the ultimate barometer for all BMW M cars – the new BMW M4 CS recorded an official time of 7 min. 21.989 sec. for the full 20.832-kilometre (12.943-mile) lap.

The BMW M4 CS is a track-focused car powered by a high-revving six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. Its rigid crankcase with sleeve-free, closed-deck construction, and a forged lightweight crankshaft provide exceptional torsional resistance, resulting in rapid power delivery. The cylinder bores are coated with wire-arc sprayed iron, and the cylinder head features a 3D-printed core. The oil supply system, like the cooling system, is designed to handle the specific challenges of track use.

The new BMW M4 CS has an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, offering three shift characteristic settings. The M xDrive and active M differential ensure that the engine’s drive torque is transmitted to all four wheels, resulting in excellent power-to-performance conversion.

M xDrive is an advanced all-wheel-drive system that distributes power between front and rear wheels for maximum traction, agility, and stability. Its rear-wheel bias and Active M Differential further enhance acceleration and cornering. The M Setup menu includes a 4WD Sport mode that directs more torque to the rear wheels, and a 2WD mode allows for pure rear-wheel drive.

The BMW Live Cockpit Professional offers premium features such as the BMW Head-Up Display, BMW Maps, smartphone integration, telephony with wireless charging, and a WiFi interface. The BMW M4 CS comes with additional features like Comfort Access, automatic climate control, and Harman Kardon Surround Sound. Standard features include Park Distance Control, Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Speed Limit Info. The BMW Drive Recorder is optional. Optional add-ons include automatic boot lid operation and Driving Assistant system.
