In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the RS 4 Avant, Audi is introducing a special model called the Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years. This performance flagship model features improved driving dynamics, exclusive interior and exterior details, and is offered in Audi’s iconic Imola Yellow finish. Alongside this, Audi is also releasing the new RS 5 Sportback Performance Edition, which includes the same powertrain upgrades.
In the 1990s, Audi introduced the high-performance estate concept with the Audi Avant RS2 and Audi S6 plus. The first RS model from quattro GmbH (now Audi Sport GmbH) was the 1999 B5-generation RS4 Avant. It featured a widened body and a 2.7-liter biturbo six-cylinder engine with an impressive 380PS output. The sportiest version of the first RS 4 generation, the RS4 Sport, was launched in 2001 with lower suspension, bucket seats, a sports exhaust, and a suede steering wheel. The RS 4 Avant edition 25 years pays tribute to this design and is the current B9 series’ sportiest version.
The new RS 4 Avant edition 25 years has a 2.9-litre V6 biturbo engine with 470PS and 600Nm of torque, 20PS more than the regular RS 4 Avant. It accelerates from 0 to 62mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 186mph. It also features standard RS ceramic brakes and an RS sports exhaust system with tailpipes in matt black for a powerful sound.
The Audi RS 4 Avant edition 25 years features the RS sports suspension pro, which allows for a 10mm lower ride height than the regular RS 4 Avant. It also includes the quattro sport differential for enhanced agility, faster shifting times, and improved handling for faster cornering speeds.
The RS 4 Avant edition 25 years comes with Pirelli P Zero Corsa high-performance tires as standard, mounted on 20-inch alloy wheels. Customers also receive a set of Pirelli sensorized P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tires and the Pirelli Track Adrenaline system. This system provides real-time information about tire pressure and temperature, along with recommended actions for optimal tire management on the racetrack.
The edition model has exclusive design features like glossy black trims on the side windows and a black inlay in the rear lights. It also includes standard equipment such as a B&O 3D Sound System, advanced key, a 360-degree camera, and wireless phone charging. Additionally, it features unique “RS 4 edition 25 years” lettering engraved in the windows and a matt carbon appearance package.
