Audi’s new PPE (Premium Platform Electric) and E3 electronic architecture are significant milestones in expanding the company’s global range of electrically powered models. The Q6 e-tron is Audi’s commitment to providing electric vehicles across all core segments by 2027. The PPE platform enables Audi to launch high-volume models with high technical standards in different segments and further electrify their portfolio. The Q6 e-tron sets the standard for range and embodies typical Audi SUV styling with a refined e-tron design language.

The new Audi Q6 e-tron has an impressive range and charging performance thanks to its powerful, compact, and scalable electric motors. It also features a newly developed lithium-ion battery comprised of 12 modules and 180 prismatic cells with a total gross capacity of 100 kWh (94.9 net). This allows for a range of up to 381 miles on UK models.

The Q6 e-tron ensures the sporty performance Audi is known for with a system output of 285 kW (388PS) (power consumption in kWh/100 km combined: 19.4-17.3 (WLTP); CO2 emissions in g/km combined: 0; CO2-class A). The SQ6 e-tron takes it even further, with a system output of up to 380 kW (517PS) when launch control is engaged (power consumption in kWh/100 km combined: 18.3-18.0 (WLTP); CO2 emissions in g/km combined: 0; CO2-class A). Together, they set standards for performance, range, charging, driving dynamics, and design.

At market launch, two model variants with all-wheel drive will be available, followed by particularly efficient models with rear-wheel drive designed for range, which will also mark the entry into the Q6 e-tron series. The Q6 e-tron quattro can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 5.9 seconds, while the SQ6 e-tron can do it in just 4.3 seconds (with launch control). The vehicles’ top speeds are 130mph and 142mph respectively.

The Audi Q6 e-tron allows for quick charging stops with its 800-volt technology and 270 kW standard maximum charging capacity. It can recharge up to 158 miles in just 10 minutes at a high power charging station. The state-of-charge increases from 10 to 80 percent in around 21 minutes. The vehicle authorizes itself at charging stations with Plug & Charge, and charging is fully automatic. The 800-volt battery can be divided into two batteries at equal voltage, allowing for parallel charging with up to 150 kW.

Audi’s Q6 e-tron model family represents the company’s commitment to sustainability in production and product. The brand is refitting production sites for the manufacture of all-electric models, while training employees for future fields. Audi is increasing vertical integration and creating new job opportunities.

On sale in the UK April 30…

To produce the Q6 e-tron series efficiently, Audi uses existing structures and systems, integrating the model into existing assembly lines. Bodies for PPE models are made at the Ingolstadt plant, covering almost 1,600,000 sq ft. The Q6 e-tron bodywork is made with the help of 328 employees per shift and 1,150 robots, with 87% automation.
