Attention all BMW fans! Carwow’s Mat Watson has some exciting news for you. As they recently acquired the brand new BMW M3 Touring and we’re putting it head-to-head against the incredible BMW M8.
The big question is whether the BMW M8 can handle the tough conditions of a drag race. Before we find out, let’s take a look at the stats. Mat will be driving the M3 Touring, which features a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine that delivers an impressive 510hp and 650Nm of torque.
Power is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The car is relatively heavy, weighing in at 1,865kg. The price for this beauty starts at £87,000.
Alongside the M3, we have the BMW M8, which has a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that generates 625hp and 750Nm of torque. It’s more powerful than the M3 but it’s also much heavier, weighing 2,100kg!
The price for the M8 starts at £142,000. So, who will win this race? Will the M8’s power be enough to beat the M3, or will the M3 surprise us all?
