The Qashqai, the benchmark for crossovers, has undergone an aesthetic refresh and technology updates. The goal of the changes is to keep what consumers love, enhance strengths and add intuitive tech. The new Qashqai sets a new standard with bold exterior changes and updated infotainment and connected services.

The Qashqai has a refreshed design that includes a revamped front grille with dozens of three-dimensional comma-shaped elements, inspired by ancient Japanese armor scales. The bumper has a strip of black in a high-gloss finish and a thin body-colored chin strap. The headlights now feature an adaptive high beam module and a smaller unit for wider beam distribution. The rear lights now have four individual elements shaped like the grille “commas” and clear lenses. The boomerang lighting element continues through the tail light and has a dynamic indicator signal. The bumper has been reshaped, and the car has harmonized colours.

Nissan’s Qashqai line-up has a new addition, the N-Design grade. It’s designed for customers who want a bold look and comes with unique aesthetic touches. The exterior features body-coloured lower body portion and wheel arches, and 20″ alloy wheels.

The Qashqai’s Around View Monitor has been significantly upgraded, allowing for a clear view in all light conditions and a 3D function that provides eight different external camera views. It works with Nissan’s Moving Object Detection system to alert drivers of moving objects. The “invisible hood view” feature shows the position of the front wheels, and the “Parking Spot Location Memory” saves frequently visited parking locations.

The new Qashqai is the first car in their European range to come with Google features built-in. It offers Google Maps, allowing drivers access to their favourite locations and points of interest. With Google Assistant, drivers can control the car’s ventilation system, heated seats, windscreen, and make phone calls, all using voice commands. The car’s infotainment system provides access to apps on Google Play, so drivers can listen to music, podcasts, and more. The Nissan Connected Services update can monitor the Qashqai on the driver’s behalf, reminding them to lock the car or close the windows, and warning them if the car has been tampered with or towed.
