Now available in the Kia UK model line-up is the, recently introduced, special edition ‘Shadow’ models for the Picanto, Stonic, and Sportage. These models will be available from 3 June and come with enhanced styling and features on top of the standard ‘3’ grade models, including exclusive interior colors and premium paint as standard.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary in the UK this year and receiving a major mid-life refresh, the ‘Shadow’ version of the Picanto adds several standard features for just £500 more than the base model ‘3’. These features include a 1.2-litre, 77bhp engine available in both manual and Automated Manual (AMT) transmissions, an Adventurous Green interior, and a choice of premium paint options such as Adventurous Green, Astro Grey, or Midnight Black. The on-the-road price is £18,045 for the manual version and £18,745 for the AMT version. Last August, the Kia Picanto surpassed 250,000 lifetime sales in the UK.
Since its last special edition was unveiled in 2022, the Stonic ‘Shadow’ joins the popular B-segment SUV lineup, adding to the well-equipped ‘3’ model with the following features… New 17-inch grey alloys exclusive to ‘Shadow’. Premium exterior paint color options (Midnight Black, Astro Grey, and the new Smokey Blue). Blue interior pack including contrast blue stitching on seats, steering wheel, and blue elements on the center console. On-the-road prices: £22,995 for manual transmission, £23,995 for DCT transmission.
The Sportage ‘Shadow’ – available exclusively for hybrid models at the on-the-road price of £36,485. The Shadow features unique styling elements, such as the Midnight Green interior pack, gloss black window and spoiler trim, and dark chrome finish. It also offers three premium paint options: Experience Green, Phantom Black, and Wolf Grey, which are exclusive to the Shadow model. The Sportage continues to lead sales in the UK and is recognized as Kia’s most popular vehicle in Europe and globally. With options for low-emitting petrol, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains, the Sportage stands out in a competitive market.
All ‘Shadow’ models are now on sale, with deliveries expected in 2024. Like all new Kia models, the Picanto, Stonic, and Sportage ‘Shadow’ editions come with Kia’s standard seven-year/100,000-mile warranty.
