The new BMW 2 Series Coupé offers a more exhilarating driving experience than ever before, with its compact proportions, sharper design, and powerful engines. This two-door model follows in the footsteps of the legendary BMW 02 Series, which established itself as the epitome of driving pleasure in the 1960s.
The new 2 Series Coupé in the UK offers two efficient four-cylinder petrol engines with rear-wheel drive, as well as a unique six-cylinder engine in the BMW M240i xDrive Coupé. This model has a combined fuel consumption of approximately 32.1 – 34.9 mpg and CO2 emissions combined: 198 – 185 g/km according to WLTP standards, with a CO2 class rating of G.
The new BMW 2 Series Coupé, priced from £36,865 RRP, is available for order at BMW Retailers in the UK starting today. Customer deliveries will begin in August 2024. It will be manufactured at the BMW Group plant in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, known for its efficient and sustainable production processes.
The interior of the BMW 2 Series Coupé confidently conveys a sporty feel with its sleek rear roof line, high center console, and seamless blending of instrument panel and door panel surfaces. The anthracite-colored headlining further enhances the enveloping feeling of space in this dynamic four-seater.
The BMW Curved Display is essential for controlling the vehicle’s functions. It includes a 12.3-inch Information Display and a 14.9-inch Control Display and is part of the BMW iDrive with QuickSelect based on BMW Operating System 8.5. You can operate automatic air conditioning, front seat heating, and steering wheel heating using the touch screen or voice commands. The instrument panel has been redesigned, and new control knobs on the air vents allow you to adjust the airflow direction.
The new BMW 2 Series Coupé features customizable ambient lighting, including new waterfall lighting integrated into the central air vents. There are nine color options available for the lighting, which can be adjusted to suit individual preferences and are stored in the driver’s BMW ID profile. The interior lighting functions also include an impressive welcome and goodbye animation, along with light signals for incoming calls and an optional open door alert.
The BMW 2 Series Coupé features a top-of-the-line 3.0-liter straight six-cylinder engine, delivering 374 hp via intelligent all-wheel drive. This propels the BMW M240i xDrive Coupé from 0 to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds.
The new BMW 2 Series Coupé offers a range of impressive engines, including a powerful six-cylinder in the M model and two equally impressive four-cylinder petrol options. The BMW 220i Coupé delivers a solid 184 hp and accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 7.5 seconds, while the BMW 230i Coupé, boasting 245 hp, completes the sprint in a swift 5.9 seconds.
The 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission enhances the sporty driving experience with quick shifting and steering wheel-mounted shift paddles. The Sprint function allows for dynamic acceleration. Pulling the left steering wheel shift paddle for at least one second activates the SPORT driving mode with appropriate settings for all drive and suspension systems, visualized on the Information Display.
